I ask my daughter two days earlier to Ganapathi Pooja, since you take pottery classes in school last year, would you make this year's Ganesha statue?
she said well, let me try.
we went to Jo-Ann fabric and craft store to buy clay.
like all American stores we have number of choices in front of us and it's hard to choose which one suites to our task here. we are in a world where we never been before.
variety of clay for every need and purpose, tools to mold what ever your imagination is requiring for,
finally we decided after a brief debate on which size, color, type of clay we needed.
this is over night air drying clay, so smooth, no need to bake to hardening it, no cracks after dried
I bought the Bonsai tree on the same day so i am busy re potting, by the time i finish that she came to me showing the Ganesha, i just fell in love the minute i saw the statue and the cute mouse!!
she use the beads for his eyes, necklace and kudumulu. (his favorite)
No wonder this year we celebrate Ganesha pooja with extra gratitude !!! also with plenty of his favorite food.
